About Academic Exchange Sessions

The meeting of the Academic Exchange Sessions was first held in November 2008 as an opportunity for graduates who completed courses at the Graduate School of History and Folklore Studies for mutual exchange of opinions and discussion. Under the general theme of “Contemplate the study of history and folklore materials from the perspective of ‘actual workplace’,” graduates with different careers and backgrounds presented reports on this occasion. They were warmly accepted by many participants, and certain results were achieved. Based on this success, the secretary office was formed in 2009 in an aim to continue the activities of the Academic Exchange Sessions. Since then, the secretary office has been planning and organizing the Sessions so that graduates as well as those involved in the Graduate School of History and Folklore Studies can participate at ease as a locale for mutual and information exchanges.
